Defendec has rolled out a new highly cost-effective service-based
solution for the Smartdec electronic border guard system –
Defendec welcomes a new partner - Envision. Envision is a service-based security solutions provider that focuses on the construction industry sector in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Envision will market the ReconEyez brand and devices to construction and utilities companies in the region. It has already signed a contract in the UK, and it is pursuing many new leads.
Defendec participated in European Day for Border Guards (ED4BG) which was held May 22 in Warsaw. ED4BG is an annual event, organised by Frontex, which brings together members of national border authorities.

in Helme, Estonia hosted by the Estonian Defense Forces. At the event, Defendec demonstrated the Smartdec electronic border guard system for various military delegations. Smartdec was well received by representatives of the military forces of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and NATO, who reported that they plan to use Smartdec in the future. Read more
Defendec delivered Smartdec at the end of March to the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan. Bogdan Gogulan, Defendec Vice President of Business Development for MENA and Central Asia, Tanel Laan, Defendec Deployment Manager, and Major Kalev Sarapu, Head of the Analysis Department of the Estonian Police and Border Guard Service, trained the Kyrgyz border guards for three days. Sarapu has been PBGB (Estonian Police and Border Guard Board) representative in cooperation with Defendec since its beginning to help develop the Smartdec system. He shared his expertise and best practices with the local guards.
December 2013, Defendec Vide President of Business Development Bogdan Gogulan signed a contract with the Tajikistan Free Economic Zone for the installation of a Smartdec system. The free trade zone falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and is located near the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border.
