Defendec Delivers Smartdec to Kyrgyzstan March 28, 2014

Defendec delivered Smartdec at the end of March to the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan.

Bogdan Gogulan, Defendec Vice President of Business Development for MENA and Central Asia, Tanel Laan, Defendec Deployment Manager, and Major Kalev Sarapu, Head of the Analysis Department of the Estonian Police and Border Guard Service, trained the Kyrgyz border guards for three days. Sarapu has been PBGB (Estonian Police and Border Guard Board) representative in cooperation with Defendec since its beginning to help develop the Smartdec system.  He shared his expertise and best practices with the local guards.
This project is the culmination of more than a year’s worth of work that began with Defendec’s Central Asia Roadshow to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan last March and was formalized in a preliminary contract that was signed with the local prime contractor for the State Border Service in December 2013 on the margins of an official visit to the Central Asian nation by then Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip.

Defendec looks forward to building a lasting and mutually beneficial relationship with the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan.
